Trip Itinerary
Our itineraries are flexible. While departure and return dates remain fixed, daily plans may be adjusted to include side treks, cultural experiences, or alternative routes based on group interests, pace, and conditions.
Day 1 — Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)
Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Spend the day exploring Thamel, checking gear, and preparing permits. In the evening, meet your guide for a trek briefing.
Day 2 — Drive to Syabrubesi (1,550 m)
A long but scenic drive from Kathmandu through winding mountain roads, river valleys, and terraced hills. Arrive in Syabrubesi, the starting point of your trek.
Day 3 — Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,380 m)
Begin trekking along the Langtang River, crossing suspension bridges and passing through dense forests of oak and rhododendron. Keep an eye out for monkeys and wildlife.
Day 4 — Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430 m)
The trail gradually climbs through forest before opening into wide alpine valleys. Pass small settlements and enjoy views of Langtang Lirung. Reach the rebuilt Langtang Village.
Day 5 — Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870 m)
A shorter but scenic trek through yak pastures and glacial landscapes. Arrive at Kyanjin Gompa, the spiritual and scenic heart of the valley. Visit the monastery and local cheese factory.
Day 6 — Acclimatization Day at Kyanjin Gompa (Side Treks)
Spend the day adjusting to altitude with optional hikes:
- Kyanjin Ri (4,773 m) – Popular sunrise viewpoint with panoramic mountain views
- Tserko Ri (5,000 m) – More challenging but offers even better vistas
- Explore nearby glaciers and valleys
Day 7 — Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,380 m)
Retrace your steps down the valley, enjoying easier trekking and different perspectives of the landscape. Descend back into forested terrain.
Day 8 — Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (1,550 m)
Continue descending along the river, passing through villages and lush greenery. Return to Syabrubesi for your final night in the mountains.
Day 9 — Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu (1,400 m)
Drive back to Kathmandu, enjoying the final views of hills and rivers. Check into your hotel and relax after the trek.
Day 10 — Departure from Kathmandu
Transfer to the airport for your onward journey, or spend extra time exploring the city if your schedule allows.

A $200 deposit secures your spot on the trek. It’s fully refundable up to two months before your trip start date, so you have flexibility if your plans change.
