Trip Itinerary

Our itineraries are flexible. While departure and return dates remain fixed, daily plans may be adjusted to include side treks, cultural experiences, or alternative routes based on group interests, pace, and conditions.

Day 1 — Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)
Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Trek briefing and preparation.


Day 2 — Fly to Nepalgunj (150 m)
Fly to Nepalgunj in western Nepal. Rest and prepare for the mountain flight.


Day 3 — Fly to Juphal (2,475 m) and Trek to Dunai (2,140 m)
Scenic flight to Juphal. Begin trekking with a descent to Dunai, the administrative center of Dolpo.


Day 4 — Trek from Dunai to Tarakot (2,540 m)
Follow the Bheri River through narrow gorges and traditional villages to Tarakot.


Day 5 — Trek from Tarakot to Laini (3,160 m)
Gradual ascent through remote valleys and forested trails.


Day 6 — Trek from Laini to Nawarpani (3,545 m)
Continue through increasingly rugged terrain with river crossings and canyon landscapes.


Day 7 — Trek from Nawarpani to Phoksundo Lake (3,611 m)
A rewarding day as you approach the stunning turquoise waters of Shey Phoksundo Lake. Arrive at Ringmo Village.


Day 8 — Exploration Day at Phoksundo Lake (Side Hikes)
Optional activities include:

  • Hike to viewpoints above the lake for panoramic views
  • Visit Tshowa Monastery
  • Explore Ringmo Village and surrounding trails

Day 9 — Trek from Phoksundo Lake to Shyanta (2,520 m)
Begin return journey, descending through forests and villages.


Day 10 — Trek from Shyanta to Juphal (2,475 m)
Complete the trek and return to Juphal.


Day 11 — Fly to Nepalgunj and then Kathmandu
Return flights back to Kathmandu via Nepalgunj.


Day 12 — Departure or Free Day in Kathmandu
Transfer to airport or explore the city.

A $200 deposit secures your spot on the trek. It’s fully refundable up to two months before your trip start date, so you have flexibility if your plans change.
