This trek through the culturally rich Sinja Valley offers access to some of Nepal’s most isolated regions, where diverse wildlife, quiet forests, and traditional villages remain largely undisturbed. Trip Itinerary
Our itineraries are flexible. While departure and return dates remain fixed, daily plans may be adjusted to include side treks, cultural experiences, or alternative routes based on group interests, pace, and conditions.
Day 1 — Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)
Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Prepare permits and meet your guide for a trek briefing.
Day 2 — Fly to Nepalgunj (150 m)
Fly to Nepalgunj in western Nepal. Rest and prepare for your mountain flight.
Day 3 — Fly to Jumla (2,540 m) and Explore
Scenic flight to Jumla. Spend the day acclimatizing and exploring this remote mountain town.
Day 4 — Trek from Jumla to Nagma (2,340 m)
Begin your trek through terraced fields and villages, gradually descending toward Nagma, the gateway to Sinja Valley.
Day 5 — Trek from Nagma to Sinja Valley (2,490 m)
Enter the culturally rich Sinja Valley, once the capital of the Khasa Kingdom. Explore ancient temples, caves, and archaeological remains.
Day 6 — Exploration Day in Sinja Valley
Spend the day exploring hidden corners of the valley, interacting with locals, and visiting historical sites that trace the roots of the Nepali language.
Day 7 — Trek from Sinja Valley to Ghorosingha (3,050 m)
Ascend gradually through forests and remote settlements, leaving the valley behind and moving toward higher alpine terrain.
Day 8 — Trek from Ghorosingha to Rara Lake (2,990 m)
Walk through pine forests and descend toward the breathtaking Rara Lake, Nepal’s largest alpine lake. First views of the lake are unforgettable.
Day 9 — Exploration Day at Rara Lake (Side Hikes)
Enjoy a full day at Rara with optional hikes:
- Murma Top (3,800 m) – Best panoramic viewpoint of the lake
- Lakeside walks and forest trails
- Wildlife spotting (Himalayan monal, musk deer, etc.)
Day 10 — Trek from Rara Lake to Pina (2,440 m)
Begin the return journey via a different route, maintaining the circuit nature of the trek.
Day 11 — Trek from Pina to Bumra (2,850 m)
A scenic trail through forests and small settlements, offering a quieter and less-traveled return path.
Day 12 — Trek from Bumra to Jumla (2,540 m)
Complete the circuit and return to Jumla, marking the end of your trekking journey.
Day 13 — Fly to Nepalgunj and then Kathmandu
Return flights back to Kathmandu via Nepalgunj.
